There's some internal discussion happening now about how best to position this blog. We're hoping it'll be front and center so you can follow our progress warts and all. Overall we'd like Xohm development to be a colloborative effort with you.

We'll update you as things progress with plans for our little bullhorn out from - and porthole into - Xohm.

Meantime, leave a comment about what you want Xohm to be... for instance, what mobile services or applications would you love to see available wherever you roam? We'll let you know if its part of the plan or whether we can add it.

Will there be excerpts (non classified) from the Summit Technology webcast posted on this site? I think that would be great to help bring awareness to visitors to the site.

Looking forward to seeing more and hearing about apps as well as posting ideas!

Something that I would love to see is the ability (since one of the touted eventualities is for Xohm to be in various devices, with one being an mp3 player) is for there someway to be able to easily sync my music with a wi-max enabled mp3 player. I used to do something such as this with my Sprint PPC-6700 via Orb and also by using Orb + a media player (I had to set up Open VPN since Microsoft's implementation of VPN on either my PPC or on Windows XP Pro was not up to the task), but have since just used my PSP with a one gig memory stick. The latency and use of Orb in a semi-hacked manner didn't work as well as I wanted, but it still is a step in the right direction.

I have been waiting for Wi-Max for quite a while and look forward to being a part of this next generation evolution of wireless data service.

hey comp... yep, we're going to try and get some of those (the classified ones, preferably) if the Sprint machine will let us. There was indeed some cool stuff.

Clash, that's pretty hard core.

Look forward to extremely low latency on Xohm (fingers crossed). Thanks for joining the ride and keep the suggestions coming.

Clash,

This mp3 player was top of mind for me too. I thought it would be kewl to get music from friends right off their devices. Imagine, your friend is jamming to a song, and you are able to stream a listen from his device and you are 5 miles away. I think wimax can make that happen.
